strategic decision-making team project | BIOLA UNIVERSITY'S FITNESS CENTER
experience gained.
Working with a team of seven individuals, I learned how to listen to others, negotiate well, and navigate conflict in a healthy and productive manner. I found that when I look for the gifts of others and delegate responsibility according to their strengths, the team remains motivated and productive, and the dynamic is positive and encouraging. Team projects aren't about winning arguments so that the project goes my way, but facilitating collaboration and learning as a team.

what i would do differently.
The purpose of this client project was to deliver technical marketing research in an oral format, and many in-depth aspects of marketing research were out of the scope of the study. We were unable to present our strong research findings to decision-makers, such as the Board of Trustees and those in upper management responsible for budget allocation. Because these individuals are unaware of high student dissatisfaction with the Fitness Center, no changes are being made and students are defecting to off-campus fitness service providers. I wish I had been able to influence decision-making with my team's research findings.
